Sitters

There will be a paper sign-up sheet in camp and a chance to coordinate once we're there.

The deal

Running the river and leaving kids in camp? You're responsible for arranging their care. The camp at-large isn't a collective babysitter. Use the sign-up sheet in camp to coordinate babysitting shifts so someone's always there while other parents run. Kids 8 and older are welcome on the river.

How a day shakes out 3 runs
1
Run 1
Morning

Coffee, push-off after breakfast. Back by lunch.

2
Run 2
Midday

Big-water section. Most kids stay back.

3
Run 3
Sundown

Optional sunset float. Quieter water.

If plans change

If plans change, you're responsible for finding someone to take your spot in the childcare block. Don't hop on a run or leave camp if you don't know who's taking care of your kids.

Most parents do 1–2 runs a day and trade off who's in camp.
